in for dan ashley. >> and i am ama daetz. >> female. >> one of the first police officers to respond to the youtube campus this afternoon describes finding victim after victim. law enforcement raced to the scene reporting an active shooter at the company's headquarters. san bruno police tweeted within minutes warning people to stay out of the area. the atf also responded to the scene and the fbi are on scene as well. >> not far from oer corporate offices and the bay hill shopping center. you are looking at a google earth video of the area. >> you can still see a couple of

police cars off to the left. you can see an officer there in the street. you can see that intersection is still blocked off. police said they would be doing this investigation into the night. scaling back as hours went on. but this is going to be a lengthy investigation. on the top left that is the headquarter right there. that is a lunch area where people could eat outside with those red umbrellas. >> team coverage today on the shooting. let's again with dion lim who is outside live in san bruno. >> reporter: good evening to you. emotions. they are running high here at the youtube campus. 200 people were evacuated this afternoon after calls came in just before 1:00. we do know four people injured. one in fair and the second in serious. and a third in critical

injuries. one person's injies sustained after trying to escape. employees are understandably horrified and confused of this news. we heard from a spokesperson from the san bruno police department. take a listen. >> we are a tight knit community and it feels like a family. today it feels like the entire the employees were victims of f this crime. our hearts go out to those who suffered in this particular attack. and our prayers are with them and their families. >> the onus is on us, law enforcement. we have our task force and the coroner out here. it will be a long night. we will be out here all night. >> reporter: 200 employees are

at another staging area. being asked questions by law enforcement officials. several employees trying to access their cars. no idea when the tape will go down. reporting live outside of youtube campus in san bruno, di lim, abc7 news. people left that building today with their hands up heading towards the officers surrounding the building. this footage taken 1:10:00 in the afternoon. 20 minutes after the shooting was committed. david louie has the story of the survivors. >> reporter: i am at the bay hill shopping center across the street from the youtube shopping

center. this became a safe haven to those employees including those that were injured. >> i heard the shots and i knew immediately that was gun shots. >> i thought it was construction going on. >> reporter: as the shooter began firing many employees of youtube rushed out of the building some with hands up as police instructed. some ran to the bay hill shopping center for cover. jesse pineda was at carl's jr. when he helped a woman. >> got her through the side door, put the napkins on her leg. another girl was shot and she was laying in the courtyard with a bunch of tables here. and she was dead. >> denny works at hatchshes and

brews restaurant. >> the woman that was with them was shot on her lower ankle put them in the restaurant and gave them towels, band-aids and tried to calm them down. >> reporter: one of the victims told him that the shooting started in the cafeteria. stanford was ready to receive patients but paramedics didn't take any way. mills was on alert but they didn't get any there. >> reporter: good evening, those three victims arrived a little after 1:00 p.m. this afternoon.

napa 65. 68 novato. these are our forecast features. mild againomorrow with sun and high clouds. light rain arrives thursday afternoon. first up in the north bay and then it will start to spread. and by friday looking at soaking rain with gusting rain and that pattern will continue into saturday. right now, overnight conditions look calm. a few more clouds than we have in the moment. midnight lows in the upper 40s. tomorrow look for highs in the low 60s at the coast. and we will see low to mid-70s inland once again tomorrow. by thursday night 10:00, most locations will receive a couple hundreds of an inch. wetter up in ukiah. that rain is going to intensify

and spread to all parts of the bay area and by friday, this storm ranks two on the storm impact scale. periods of heavy rain on thursday. the wettest regions will be the north bay and bay area mountains. animations picks it up 6:00 friday morning. all of the bay area will be wet. that rain is going to be fairly steady rain that continues throughout the day on friday. periods of heavy rain as i mentioned earlier going into friday night. and saturday morning heavy downpours developing indicated by this area of yellow. really good soaking. and by 10:00 friday night, the storm is still going on. we will see rainfall totals

>> the suspect died from an apparently self-inflicted gun shot wound. authorities from several agencies, local, federal and state are on the scene. >> we want to get the latest from youtube. >> dion lim joins us live. what is the latest? >> reporter: this has been such a fluid situation with new details coming in minute by minute. and law enforcement are confirming new details about the shooter and we know this is not believed to be a terror related attack. that shooter is described as a woman between the ages of 35 and 40-years old. one of the women who is in critical condition is believed to be the intended target. the other three people wounded were not intended to be targets. we heard from a company's

mendocino county authorities checking out a video. the crash killed jennifer heart, her wife sara heart and three of their children. the video from fort bragg is extremely grainy. they are trying to come up for a reason for the crash that was possibly deliberate. lethal force only when necessary. necessary meaning there is no alternatives for the officers. >> california law enforcement has demonstrated without a doubt that they are not on a large scale capable of discerning when lethal force is necessary and when it is not because too many

>> reporter: the crash happened around 2:00 a.m. this morning but not reported until day break. the driver lost control and hit this guard rail and flew 30 feet into the air landing on the roof. >> went dn the hill and landed right there. so must have been going pretty fast. >> reporter: the driver left the scene so investigators are treating the crash as a hit and run. grateful nobody was injured. >> if it was easter sunday, it would have been a problem. the kids were out here playing ping-pong and watching tv. rmally we don't have that many people out here. >> reporter: now hoping the insurance will cover the cost to sheriff of santa clara oom.
